Using experience and knowledge to create decors imbued with personality

Marie-Josée Dion, the designer behind MJ Design, has been in the interior design field for nearly 25 years now. Her father worked in construction and when she was young, she loved visiting the job sites and seeing houses being built. The smell of lumber, seeing the spaces transformed, the progress of the work and the latest trends all captivated her.

After getting a college diploma in interior design in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and being trained in retail sales, Marie-Josée spent several years working in home decor and furnishing stores. She was namely in charge of planning the stores’ different displays.  

In 2017, equipped with the experience she had acquired in well-established organizations and stores, Marie-Josée decided to spread her wings and founded MJ Design. Her aim in opening her own business was to offer her clients a harmonious living environment and spaces they could enjoy to the fullest. 

Over the years, she has surrounded herself with valued and trusted collaborators, whether material suppliers or contractors, who share her vision and values: professionalism, respect for deadlines and attention to detail, among others.
